It’s official – Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are the proud parents of (plain, no title) Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex presented their “absolutely to die for” baby son to the world with a photo call at St George’s Hall on Wednesday, and shortly after took little Archie to meet his reigning great-grandparents Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip at Windsor Castle.

The royals were joined by Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland and according to Elle, the family shared a “lovely moment with Her Majesty” who was touched by the meeting.

Harry and Meghan used a photo of the special afternoon to announce the name of their first born child via their official Instagram account, Sussex Royal.

The Sussexes’ captioned the heartwarming shot: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are pleased to announce they have named their first born child: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

“This afternoon Their Royal Highnesses introduced Her Majesty The Queen to her eighth great-grandchild at Windsor Castle. The Duke of Edinburgh and The Duchess’ mother were also present for this special occasion.”

The Queen is seen gazing adoringly at her eighth great-grandchild, swaddled in his mother Meghan’s arms, as doting dad Harry looks in awe of his newborn son.

Proud grandmother Doria stands beside Meghan while a visibly delighted Duke of Edinburgh wears a broad grin in the far left of the picture.

Harry’s father Prince Charles and wife Camilla have yet to meet the latest royal arrival as they continue their official tour of Germany until the end of the week.

Archie Harrison – formerly known as Baby Sussex – was born at London’s Portland Hospital on May 6, 2019 weighing in at 7lbs 3oz.

Speaking to the world on Wednesday, first-time mum Meghan said: “It’s magic. It’s pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world so I’m really happy.”

As Prince Harry cradled their son, the Duchess added: “He has the sweetest temperament; he’s really calm.”
