Tasmanian-born Mary has many titles, and now she can officially add ‘captain’ to the list!
Crown Princess Mary of Denmark has been named captain of the Danish Home Guard, and the royal dressed in her military bets for the occasion.
Mary cut a strong figure in her military uniform, whilst also wearing her hair tied back in a low pony underneath a green beret while watching the troops parade before her official ceremony.
The Crown Princess was joined by some 500 troops for the anniversary which marks 70 years ago since the country’s Home Guard was established.
