Princess Beatrice of York received a surprising message from her fiance Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi‘s previous partner, Dara Huang shortly after her engagement was announced.

Edo’s ex-fiancee has made it known that she is overjoyed at the idea of uniting their families.
The Chinese-American architect gave a statement to The Daily Mail expressing her happiness for the couple.
“I wish the best for Edo and Beatrice and look forward to uniting our families,” she told the publication.
According to Express, Dara and Edo met in London through mutual friends in 2015.
Edoardo was with Dara for three years and shares two-year-old son Christopher Woolf Mapelli Mozzi (named for Edo’s late-stepfather Christopher Shale) with her.
The property tycoon has already introduced his son (nicknamed Wolfie) to Princess Beatrice and they reportedly get along swimmingly.
The royal – who previously dated Uber executive Dave Clark for almost a decade – will be the first princess in the Queen’s family to become a step-mum.
It was rumoured that Edo split with Dara just six months before the Italian property developer was first spotted with Princess Beatrice at the National Portrait Gallery gala.
The Daily Mail reported that Dara was travelling for work in Thailand when the news of their relationship first broke.
However, there appears to be no animosity between the two parties, with one source telling the publication that the architect will be attending the royal wedding next year.
“Dara thinks Beatrice is wonderful with Wolfie,” a source tells the Daily Mail. “She’s a natural.”
Another source said that while Dara “loves her son to bits and, like any mother, she is very protective,” she is also “totally happy that Beatrice will be developing a relationship with her son and is happy that he will attend the wedding as Edo’s best man.”
A palace spokesman confirmed to Express.co.uk that Beatrice’s nuptials will be privately-funded.
This comes after Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank cost taxpayers around £2 million.
