It’s been less than two months since Princess Eugenie’s wedding and already her sister Princess Beatrice is reclaiming the spotlight. Echoing her mother’s controversial love life, Bea has shocked the royal family with her latest relationship.

Last week it was confirmed that the 30-year-old has been  dating millionaire Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 34, who is the son of Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi and socialite Nikki Shale, and well known in royal circles.

Yet, according to recent reports, Edoardo has a shocking relationship history, having dumped the mother of his child – 2-year-old son Wolfie – and fiancee Dara Huang after he met Bea at Eugenie’s wedding.

“Edo and Dara were engaged for three-and-a-half years,” a source told The Daily Mail.

“He met Beatrice years ago when they were children, but he met her again at the wedding of Eugenie,” they added.

“Even after the romance began, he continued to live at the family home with Dara and their child.”

“Dara has not commented on anything and is refusing to speak to the press. She doesn’t want to say anything publicly at this stage. Her only concern is for the welfare of their son,” a friend of Dara’s noted.

Despite the fact that Dara is remaining tight-lipped on the breakdown of her engagement, those close to the mum hint that she feels Bea stole her man. “The timing pretty much says it all,” came the sources telling response.

Since the reports came out, the royal family is said to be “fuming” over Bea’s shock relationship news and the Queen has banned Edo from the palace.

However, despite being branded a home-wrecker, palace aides close to the princess insist “she would never allow herself to break into another couple’s happiness, especially if there was a small child involved”.

But insiders have revealed an altogether different story, claiming that the Queen has been “left disgraced by her granddaughter’s indiscretion”. Furthermore, it’s believed that Bea’s been told she won’t be allowed a formal royal wedding and she won’t be entitled to any of the royal protocols or budget that her sister was afforded for her lavish nuptials recently.

Her father Prince Andrew is also furious at his daughter’s latest blunder, given ex-wife Sarah Ferguson has only just been welcomed back into ‘the firm’ and he is desperately trying to claw back a good position in the royal household.

But palace insiders say Fergie is the only one currently supporting her daughter amid the barrage of negative press about Bea’s romance – and it’s causing furious rows between her and Andrew, who has sided with his mother and is “desperately urging Bea to dump Edo immediately” before she creates more shame for the family.

Fergie – who was famously ostracised from the royal family after being pictured having her toes sucked – however, is “thrilled” her daughter has found love with Edoardo.

“How sweet it is that two families who have known each other for so many years can think that something permanent can come of this,” a friend overheard her say.

And Bea is not backing down without a fight and is determined to get her happy-ever-after. Friends close to the princess say she has been “longing to become a mother” for some time and has been incredibly broody watching her close pals have babies.

Prince Andrew and Fergie are desperate to play bigger roles in the royal family following the success of Princess Eugenie’s wedding.

Having garnered some popularity after their daughter’s nuptials, both the duke and duchess are enjoying more public outings and are intent on raising their profiles. Prince Andrew visited Australia last month, while Fergie made an appearance at a Street Child event in London last week.
