Prince Philip makes rare public appearance while heading to church with Queen Elizabeth

The royal couple headed out in Scotland.

Prince Philip has been seen for the first time in two months, as he joined his wife Queen Elizabeth for church in Scotland.

Philip was seen seated beside the Queen in the royal Bentley as they headed to Craithie Kirk on the large Balmoral estate.

The 97-year-old royal, who retired from official duties last year, had not been seen in public since he joined his wife at several polo games in the early English summer.

In April, Philip underwent a hip replacement operation.

Just six weeks later, the prince seemed to be on the mend when he attend Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding on May 19.
