Prince Charles is said to have issued a stern warning to his nieces, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
Charles has made no secret in the past that he would much prefer a more streamlined monarchy with fewer senior royals.
However, with Eugenie’s upcoming lavish wedding, the sisters’ revealing interview with Vogue and the scandal surrounding a picture Eugenie uploaded to Instagram of a ‘not for the public’s eyes’ section of Buckingham Palace, it looks like the future king is going to have his work cut out keeping them in line – something that has left their father, Prince Andrew, furious.
‘Prince Andrew thinks that when the Duke dies and the Queen winds down, there should be a greater role for him and his girls,’ reveals royal expert Phil Dampier.
‘This is a bit of a power struggle, which Charles won’t be happy about.’
