Police have released the identity of the Sydney woman who was found in a park

Her family and friends pay tribute.

NSW police have released the identity of the Sydney woman who was found dumped near a playground at a popular suburban park. 

Nicole Cartwright, 32, was found dead by a council worker at Buffalo Creek Reserve in Hunters Hill on Sydney’s lower north shore on October 3. 

Ms Cartwright’s hands were bound and she was found with a dog collar around her neck. 

Ms Cartwright’s brother Ben has penned a heartbreaking tribute to Nicole. 

“Rest in peace my little sister. I love you with my all,” he said. 

“It is with very sad and heavy hearts that we announce our beloved daughter, sister and friend Nicole Cartwright has sadly passed away,” he continued. “Details at this stage will not be discussed. Thank you for all the love and support we have received from family and friends over the last few days.”

According to police Ms Cartwright lived with her parents in Lansvale.

Detectives from the homicide squad are investigating Ms Cartwright’s death.
