Following years of reported estrangement, Nicole Kidman is finally reconnecting with her adoptive children and devout Scientologists Isabella and Connor, according to a US report today.

After divorcing Tom Cruise in 2001, Nicole was seen infrequently in public with her children, and not at all in recent years, allegedly due to their father continuing to raise them as Scientologists. Nicole, who shunned the faith after divorce, was considered as a ‘Suppressive Person’ and was removed from the children’s inner circle.Yet in a recent interview the actress hinted that she was reconnecting with her kids.
‘They’ve both made choices to be Scientologists. It’s our job as a parent to always offer unconditional love,’ she said.
A friend told American publication OK! this week that as a consequence, the children have started to rebuild their relationship with their mum.
‘They’re chatting with Nicole fairly regularly,’ the pal said.
‘Connor and Bella haven’t met their younger siblings and that’s something Nicole hopes to change,’ they added referring to Nicole’s two biological daughters Sunday,11, and Faith, 8 who she shares with Keith Urban.
‘There was a time when Tom felt threatened by Nicole having a tight bond with Bella and Connor but that’s all water under a bridge,’ claimed the magazine’s source. ‘They’re adults now and he’s happy for Nicole to be part of their lives.’
None of the parties concerned have commented on US OK! magazine’s report.
The allegations come as Tom Cruise’s son Connor Cruise has moved out of the of the actor’s Scientology-owned residential building and into his own home.
Connor’s new place has no ties to the controversial church, and his move has fuelled rumours he may have ditched the religion altogether.
Sources have told Radar that Connor, 24, has fled Tom’s Clearwater, Florida apartment block and moved to a place of his own, that’s just across the street.
‘It is not a scientology building,’ the source told Radar on Monday.
‘Connor moved out of Tom’s building last week.’
