Meghan Markle’s aide who played a huge part in her wedding to Prince Harry has been honoured by Queen Elizabeth

Clara Loughran – who is the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s senior programme co-ordinator – is now a Member of the Royal Victorian Order (RVO) in the New Year Honours list.

Loughran handed the former Suits actress her bouquet as she arrived at St George’s Chapel.

The special designation is awarded only to people who have served the Monarch or a member of her family.

Harry and Meghan are currently on a six-week hiatus from royal duties.

The royal couple along with their eight month old son Archie Harrison have been spotted in Vancouver Canada. 

The new parents have reportedly spent their first Christmas as a family in a $14.1 million waterfront mansion on Vancouver Island.

The former Suits actress’ mother Doria Ragland is also believed to be with the royals.
