She added: “In September, this two week campaign launched and because of YOU and your commitment to giving back to the community, over 10,000+ items were purchased.

“Using the 1:1 model, your contribution made a direct impact for Smart Works and the women mobilising back into the workforce.

“For every item you purchased, one was donated! You made this happen, and we are so thrilled to see you step up and be part of another woman’s success story.”

The heartfelt message revealed that, as a result of the project, women were able to have the confidence to pursue their passions and achieve their goals.

“Thank you for your support, and well done for being a part of this success story!” she added.

Meghan, who is royal patron of Smart Works, told Express she was inspired to launch the campaign after she found there wasn’t any donated clothes suitable for wearing to interviews.

She previously said: “Thank you to the four brands who came together in supporting Smart Works on this special project – placing purpose over profit and community over competition.

“In convening several companies rather than one, we’ve demonstrated how we can work collectively to empower each other – another layer to this communal success story, that I am so proud to be a part of.”
