ROYALS

Meghan Markle will wear Diana’s tiara on her big day

The future royal will pay tribute to Prince Harry's late mother

The Queen often loans fancy jewels and tiaras from her collection for family weddings.

But, Meghan Markle could pay a touching tribute to Princess Diana, by choosing her famous Spencer tiara for the upcoming royal wedding.

Meghan is set to tie the knot to Prince Harry on May 19 at St Georges Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

Princess Diana wore the family heirloom at her own wedding to Prince Charles back in 1981.

The piece has an elaborate flower and diamond design and was kept under the watchful eye of Diana’s brother, Earl Spencer until Harry and William turned 30 when it was given back to them as part of their inheritance.

It is thought that Meghan will steer clear of any tiaras worn by her future sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, making the Spencer tiara a good choice for the bride-to-be.

Plus, it’s also the perfect way to honour Harry’s mother at the wedding.
