Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have already had a very busy start to their Australia Tour, and they’ve still got another two weeks of royal engagements to complete.

According to reports, the pregnant Duchess of Sussex has built “secret rest breaks” into their hectic schedule.

The couple arrived 20 minutes late for their descent down the Opera House stairs on day one of their tour, with Meghan and Harry being whisked away with security saying she was “unwell and needed a rest”.

Asked about the Duchess of Sussex’s health, a media representative on the ground in Sydney told news.com.au it was “nothing” and that Prince Harry’s wife was perfectly all right.

Day two of the royal tour saw the royal pair arrive in rural New South Wales town Dubbo.

The duke and duchess met with schoolchildren and then the Royal Flying Doctor Service patients, volunteers and staff.

While here, reports say Harry and Meghan “vanished”, and when asked where the couple was their representatives told news.com.au the duke and duchess were just “having a break”, for about 15 minutes.

Then when visiting Mountain View farm to learn about the devastating Australian drought, the duke and duchess were hosted by the Woodley family, who have been farming there for five generations.

The first member of its sixth generation, 13-month-old Ruby Carroll, was the star of the show over tea in the garden, where the extended family gathered for a relaxed chat with the Royal couple.

After making a fuss of Ruby, the Duchess spoke to the toddler’s mother Emily Carroll, 33, about her own pregnancy.

“They both had a little tickle with her [Ruby],” Mrs Carroll said. “She’s normally in bed at 10.30am but we had to stay up for this. She’s done so well.

“Meghan told me that she’s feeling pretty good so far, which is great, and that she’s running on adrenaline.

“She said they’re doing 76 engagements in 16 days, with maybe one rest in the middle.”
