Aussie mum shares ‘ingenious’ Mini Shepherd’s Pie recipe with a very unlikely ingredient … made using her Kmart Air Fryer!

Even her fussy kids love them!

An Aussie mum has shared her ingenious dinner hack on Facebook – made using an unlikely ingredient and her Kmart Air Fryer.

Posting on Facebook, mum Kirsty revealed how she used Mexican Stand ‘N Stuff ‘Taco Boats’ – available from Coles and Woolworths – to hold the mini Shepherd’s Pies, before crisping them up in her $69 Kmart appliance.

‘We made a heap of the pies for dinner tonight,’ writes Kirsty.

‘My seven-year-old who loves normal shepherd’s pie initially screwed up his nose and said “I’m not eating that”. We always tell our kids to try new things first and he promptly ate three, and is hoping to have leftovers for lunch tomorrow.’Kirsty explained that she started by making the Sheperd’s Pie ‘mince mix and mashed potato as normal.’

She adds: ‘I spooned the mix into the taco boats, and then popped them in the Air Fryer for 10 minutes.’The boats came out slightly crunchy and nicely brown on top, they were so yum. ‘I already have plans of trying other toppings and fillings.’Not surprisingly, Kristy’s dinner hack got the big thumbs up.
