Kate Middleton reveals Prince George and Princess Charlotte love “spider hunting”

An interesting past time for the royal tots.

Kate Middleton has officially returned to royal duties, and with that the mum-of-three has given a little insight into what her days have consisted of since her maternity leave began.

Stepping out to meet the young pupils at the St Stephen’s School in London, the Duchess of Cambridge got down in the grass with a young student as they hunted for “mini beasts”.

The pair were only able to find slugs though.

Interim head of Sayers Croft Forest School, Zoe Stroud, told PEOPLE the duchess was “lovely – although she said the only mini beast she managed to find on the hunt was a slug! But she did see a frog under a log.”

Stroud added that Kate fit in easily with the children, adding that her own children Prince George and Princess Charlotte love to hunt for spiders in the garden.

“She really gets what we are doing here and said she often takes her children on spider hunts in their garden, which they love,” she added. “They can spend hours out there.”

What an odd activity for the royal children!
