After weeks of speculation about his engagement, Karl Stefanovic has finally broken his silence to confirm that he is set to wed Jasmine Yarbrough later this year.
“When Jasmine came into my life, I had no thoughts of new love or the future, but we are happy and grateful we found each other,” the Today host told TheFIX.
“We are yet to work out when we will get married, but probably later this year. We are both very happy.”
Karl, 43 and shoe designer Jasmine, 34, made their relationship public in February 2017, and accoding to The FIX, friends and family of the couple say pair “just want to quietly get on with life.”
Speaking about the intense speculation into their relationship, Karl insisted there was no truth to any of the “ridiculous” claims that have been made.
“Jas isn’t pregnant. The ring was made by Nic Cerrone and didn’t cost $120,000. Those figures are ridiculous,” he says. “And there is no media deal. Don’t believe everything you read.”
Earlier this week, Karl posted a sweet Valentine’s Day message to Jasmine via Instagram.
“You can spend a lot on flowers or just grab a couple of cold ones,” he captioned a photo with Yarbrough at the beach, adding twin hearts and celebratory red balloon emojis,” he captioned a picture of them holding beers on a beach.
