In the video, the mum-of-two shows viewers just how easy it is to make at home, where all you need is pork belly, salt and pepper, garlic powder, bay leaves and an air fryer. To start off with, you stab the pork belly “really hard” with a knife, as many times as you’d like, then “drown it” in salt, as Jules explains.”Please don’t stress as we’re going to wipe this all off,” she says.Once the salt is all over the pork skin, you cover it in glad wrap and leave for 30 minutes.

“Now what we’re going to do is scrape the salt off,” she says.Afterwards, you pop the pork belly onto a plate – with the skin facing downwards. That’s where you begin to “score it” like noughts and crosses with a knife, and make sure to use a sharp knife as the skin can be rather tough to handle. You then drizzle the meat with oil over the top and rub it in.”Then you want to want to sprinkle some garlic powder and some pepper over the top of that,” she adds.

After you rub all that in, you then flip the meat onto a square-sized, aluminium foil cut out, where you will have bay leaves already on the foil.Pop the meat into the air fryer for 45 minutes on 200 degrees, but at the 35 minute mark, pause the fryer and add some brown sugar on the bottom, and then continue cooking for the remaining 10 minutes.”Adding that to the list of thing I can now serve up,” Jules finished with as she tasted the dish herself.”That’s like Christmas Day-worthy, that is so delicious.”
