The Voice comeback kid Jack Vidgen has opened up on his journey to becoming an out gay men, speaking in detail on the subject for the first time.

The star, who shot to fame on Australia’s Got Talent when he was aged just 14, says that he wasn’t ready to take a position on the subject at such a tender age, but he’s very happy to be who he is now.
‘When I was 14 in the public eye… you get those thoughts, “Am I gay? Am I not?” You’re still working it out [and] I was still going through puberty,’ he told the Kyle and Jackie O show of his journey.
‘I came out a couple of years ago. I got to that point where I was happy and accepting who I am and wanted to be able to share that.
Jack says that his family and friends have been supportive, helping to make his paqth a lot easier than other people’s.
‘I was really fortunate, so many people have less fortunate situations. Everyone was so chill in my life, it just wasn’t a thing, which I think is the best way for it to be.’
Jack earlier this week broached the subject of his sexuality with New Idea, joking that his turn on The Voice might not just be a career boost.
‘Hopefully I’ll find a husband,’ he told us. ‘No, I’m happy and single. I’m just so grateful for this opportunity and to be let back into people’s lounge rooms and share my story.’
