Studio 10 panelist’s Ita Buttrose and Denise Drysdale are reportedly ‘heading to court’ over a ‘brussels sprout incident’, entertainment reporter Peter Ford claims.
Last year several reports surfaced claiming that Denise had hurled a brussels sprout at Ita while filming a Christmas-themed segment for Studio 10.
Executive producer Rob McKnight was fired from the morning show following the alleged incident and commenced legal action against the network in December for ‘breach of contract’, TV Tonight reported. Network Ten confirmed to The Daily Telegraph on Wednesday that McNight was axed from the program after the incident.
Ford told the Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday that because Rob is now challenging his sacking in court Denise and Ita could be called as witnesses.
‘It’s all going to play out in court in this case if the former executive producer isn’t heard. Ita and Denise could both be called as witnesses,’ he said.
Ita later denied there was any feud during an interview on the same show on Wednesday.
‘We all get on well. I mean we’ve been getting on well ever since we all started,’ she told Kyle and Jackie O. ‘I don’t know where all this nonsense is coming from, it’s just someone beefing up something that happened last year.’
Channel 10 is yet to formally address the incident.
