Taking to Instagram this afternoon, the dance teachers paid special tribute to ‘Nanna,’ and revealed how they were able to persevere in one of the toughest challenges on House Rules.

“Fun fact: The final day of the grand final challenge – AKA the toughest and biggest day of our House Rules experience, it would have been my Nanna’s birthday,” the couple began.

“She was the most inspiring soul whose grace would make fireworks. We had such a sense of calmness on that chaotic day and I am certain it’s because Nanna was there.”

The House Rules victors revealed they incorporated a special nod to their family member during their final challenge.

“Our words on the en-suite wall “You look amazing Darling” is something she would say and it felt so appropriate to add to our zone for a touch of heart and soul.”

The couple ended their loving post by calling their maid of honour, a ‘wonder’: “This wonder of a woman was Maid of Honour at our wedding too!

“My heart smiles whenever I say her name and looking at these memories just gives me all the emotions.

“Love you Nanna, we miss you 🖤”

The Victorian couple took out the seventh season of the Seven reno show, beating competition-leading brothers Tim and Mat by just two points to pocket $250,000 prize money.
