There’s nothing like a wedding to get our favourite coastal town excited! And this week in the Bay, we can reveal that a marriage proposal is on the cards for one a very loved-up couple.
Will Chelsea (Ashleigh Brewer) and Colby (Tim Franklin) announce they are tying the knot? Or will new loves Jasmine (Sam Frost) and Robbo (Jake Ryan) be the happy couple to declare that they’re heading down the aisle?
Early in the week, Colby reveals to Willow (Sarah Roberts) that he and fellow police officer Chelsea – whom he clearly has never stopped loving – were previously engaged. But Colby admits to harbouring a dark secret from his past – one he’s always hidden from Chelsea.
“Colby has put up some walls and Chelsea has been wondering if she will ever be able to completely break through them,” says Ashleigh. “Chelsea loves Colby so much, but it was bad timing and bad circumstances that led to their relationship ending the first time around.”
Later, Colby decides to at last come clean with Chelsea. It’s the only way, he believes, that they can truly be together.
He tells a stunned Chelsea that, before he joined the police force, Dean (Patrick O’Connor) took the fall for a crime that he, Colby, had committed. And he’s has never forgiven himself for the fact that Dean went to prison for something he did.
Will Chelsea not only forgive Colby for keeping this secret from her, but be willing to move forward in their relationship?
“Chelsea agrees to listen to Colby, but it is extremely painful for her to hear what he has to say,” Ashleigh says. “She wants their relationship to work out so badly and this moment really is a turning point for them.”
Meanwhile, a completely smitten Jasmine and Robbo head out on a special date. And Robbo has gone all out, booking a romantic dinner cruise. Jasmine is, of course, thrilled.
“Robbo has always been a bit of a tortured soul, but Jasmine really wants him to just be his best self, which he now is,” says Sam. “Jasmine’s fallen much harder for him than she ever expected. She really is in love with him.”
