Grant Denyer caught in Father’s Day controversy

The former Family Feud host is embroiled in a scandal over money.

On Sunday, the Sydney Morning Herald reported that when they approached Grant Denyer to participate in a ‘Father’s Day photoshoot’, he refused unless he was paid.

SMH reported, ‘When contacted by Fairfax Media this week to pose in a Father’s Day photo with his two daughters, Denyer’s manager Titus Day said in no uncertain terms that his client was ‘far too valuable to do something like that for free’ but was happy to offer up Sophie Monk and UFC fighter Rob Whittaker in his place.’

Now, the former Family Feud host’s manager has denied these claims.

Day responded, ‘I certainly never have said anything like that.’

Denyer and his wife Cheryl share two daughters – Sailor, 7, and Scout, 2.

Despite not taking part in the Sydney Morning Herald’s shoot, Chezzi took to Instagram to share a loving message to her husband.

She wrote: ‘To the MAIN Man in our lives @grantdenyer HAPPIEST OF HAPPY FATHER’S DAY.

‘In the words of Sailor, you are ‘superman and the greatest Daddy on the face of the planet and the entire universe.’

‘And in the words of Scout, we miss you so much and can’t wait to squeeze you tight when we see you tomorrow.

‘OK. They’re my words. Scout actually said ‘Daddy is a poo poo face and I’m gunna jump on him and tickle his head’.

‘Happy Dad’s day to our Daddy @grantdenyer, you are remarkable.

‘We adore you. When you’re away there a massive part of us that’s missing. We love your laugh, your jovial ways, how you look after us and how loved you make us feel.’
