Gordon Ramsay has come under fire for comment he made about Sofia Vergara in a resurfaced interview from 2010.
The clip from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno is doing the rounds nine years later with fans slamming the celebrity chef about what he said to the Modern Family actress.
Following a skit where Sofia was screaming, she asked: “Did I scare you guys? I never scream like that in real life. It was all acting.”
Gordon replied whilst touching her arm, “Only in the bedroom?”
Also in the interview Jay, Gordon and Sofia looked at photos of the Colombian star on holiday in Italy wearing a bikini. In one of the shots, Sofia is eating a slice of pizza.
“You seem like you’re enjoying that. You had a whole wedge in your mouth at one time?” Gordon asked.
“You haven’t heard of a knife and fork?…You don’t eat pizza with a knife and a fork.”
He continued, “You just pick it up and stick it in.”
Vergara also brought a Colombian dessert onto the show, which Gordon said tasted “like sh*t fudge”. He then bent over with his behind toward Sofia and she got up and pretended to hit him.
“You can taking it back to f**king Colombia,” he said. “Fish and chips…that’s all you eat,” Sofia said back.
“No touching!” Sofia said after Gordon hit her on the side of her thigh.
Fans have slammed both Gordon and Jay Leno for the comments made during the interview.
“Sofia Vergara didn’t deserve to be treated like this. This is very very uncomfortable,” one person who Tweeted clips from the interview said.
Another wrote. “Like a 17 year old kid who does not know what to do when he meets a nice girl.”
Another Tweeted, “Wow i really liked Gordon Ramsay until now. The way he treated Sofia Vergara was disappointing and disrespectful.”
