Exclusive pics: Pink’s Byron Bay beach day

As the singer takes time of recover from a gastric virus.

US singer Pink has been forced to reschedule three Sydney shows as part of her Beautiful Trauma world tour on ‘medical advice’ after being diagnosed with a gastric virus.

But, just last week the singer took some much needed time off to spend time with her family – husband Carey Hart, 43, daughter Willow, 7, and son Jameson, 19 months.

Wearing a skimpy bikini, the 38-year-old appeared in good spirits as she showcased her amazing body.

Pink regularly speaks out passionately on how important it is for women to maintain a healthy body image.

After the birth of Jameson in 2016, the star took to Instagram to share a positive post about weight and fitness expectations. ‘Would you believe I’m 160 pounds [72.5kg] and 5’3” [1.6m]? By ‘regular standards’ that makes me obese,’ she stated. ‘I know I’m not at my goal or anywhere near it after Baby 2 but dammit I don’t feel obese.

‘The only thing I’m feeling is myself. Stay off that scale ladies!’

In fact, the outspoken singer has never been one to shy away from talking about body image. ‘I’d love to be 10 pounds (4.5kg) thinner, but it’s not in the cards for me,’ she previously told Women’s Health. ‘And I’m totally OK with that.’

And despite flaunting her fabulously fit figure Down Under, it would appear Pink’s main priority right now is looking after her children, who she is very pleased to have accompanying her on tour.

‘It’s exhausting. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done,’ she told actress Reese Witherspoon on her new TV talk show Shine On With Reese.

‘But I’m very, very fortunate that I get to bring my kids with me and that I kind of get to integrate them into my life.’

Unfortunately, just days after her beach day Pink was forced to reschedule three of her Sydney shows on ‘medical advice’.

Despite the entertainer’s sad plea to fans and the shows due to be rescheduled, many annoyed and angry concertgoers took to Twitter to vent their frustration.

While fans were not so frustrated that the US singer was sick, it was that organisers waited until just before 5pm Monday to cancel, when doors were due to open at 6.30pm.

It was then that Pink decided to respond. Although not tweeting herself, the songstress ‘liked’ a Tweet by an Adelaide newsreader, Melanie Usher, who defended the singer against angry fans.

‘Geez – don’t fall sick on a concert tour in Oz,’ she wrote.

‘A performer is not a robot and they fall sick too. Give her a break and stop complaining about two concerts which ARE going to be rescheduled.’

A statement released by Live Nation on Tuesday read: ‘On medical advice P!NK’s performance scheduled for tonight (Tuesday, August 7) at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena has been postponed.

‘Pink was admitted to St. Vincents Hospital in Sydney on Sunday night, suffering from dehydration. She was treated and discharged.

‘She was readmitted to hospital on Monday and diagnosed with a gastric virus.

‘On medical advice Pink remained in hospital overnight, continuing her treatment and recovery. She will be reassessed by her doctors today.

‘A further announcement will be made when an update becomes available.’
