Prince Charles is next in line for the throne but shocking new claims suggest that The Queen has snubbed her son in favour of William and Harry.
Allegations of a royal rift between The Queen and Prince Charles has been revealed in Andrew Morton’s new book, Meghan: A Hollywood Princess.
The book sheds light on mother-and-son relationship and it claims that The Queen has more faith in her grandsons than she does her own son.
The Queen was reported to be particularly impressed with the way Prince Harry has represented her on official duties and how he has handled his relationship with Meghan Markle.
She believes that he and William have engaged with the public in a way that Charles never has, claims the book.
‘The Queen trusts her grandsons,’ said a palace courtier. ‘William and Harry have star quality and are believable and authentic heirs to the monarch.’
What’s more, Charles popularity has plummeted in recent months after a survey taken in the run-up to the royal wedding showed that 30 per cent of Britons think Harry and Meghan should not invite Charles and his wife Camilla to the wedding, claims Express.
And, last August a shocking YouGov poll revealed that just a third of Britons think Charles is doing a good job and a quarter of those who took part think he has a negative impact on the royals, says Express.
