All hail Hollywood’s reigning off-the-rack queen.

Bryce Dallas Howard has once again made headlines for embracing the high-low dressing trend on the red carpet, arriving at the 22nd annual Critics’ Choice Awards in a TopShop gown that retails for $US250.

The Jurassic World actress turned heads in a show-stopping mustard number that featured a deep V-neckline and thin black straps. And proving you don’t have to spend a fortune to look a million dollars, it turns out the inexpensive dress was purchased at US department store, Nordstrom.

“It’s great. It’s comfortable,” Howard confessed to Entertainment Tonight. “It’s flowy, which is good for this time of year – the holiday season.”

This isn’t the first time the actress has opted against being dressed by a stylist. At the 2016 Golden Globes, Howard revealed that she’d picked up her Jenny Packham dress from retailer, Neiman Marcus, earlier in the week.

“I like having lots of options for a size 6, as opposed to maybe one option so I always go to department stores,” she told E!’s Giuliana Rancic upon arrival.

The 35-year-old, who describes her personal style as if “Carolyn Bessette met Kim Kardashian,” disclosed to USA TODAY last year the reason behind why she prefers to shop online for Hollywood events.

“It’s far more relaxing, and there’s not as much pressure because you can really be thoughtful about ordering things,” she said.

“And you can kind of look at your budget, calculate and take things out.”
