Former 2DayFM radio host Sam Frost has revealed the absolutely ruthless way she discovered her Rove and Sam radio show had been cancelled.
The 28-year-old reality star told Nova 100’s Chrissie, Sam and Browny that she’d found out her show had been given the axe after reading about it on news.com.au.
‘I found out my show was axed via news.com.au … [Before that] I was like, ‘it’s just some rumours’,’ she told the hosts. ‘Then I saw it was a statement from my boss…[I was like] ‘bugger, looks like I can’t afford my mortgage, bloody hell’.’
She added, ‘It’s a bit ruthless.’
Frost co-hosted 2DayFM’s prime time breakfast slot with Rove McManus for just one year before being swapped to a late shift amid poor ratings.
The 7-8pm Rove and Sam show lasted just six months in 2017 before the pair was completely axed from the network.
Frost now has a stint on iconic Aussie soap, Home And Away.
