Is there anything better than the smell of a cake fresh out of the oven?Ok, so maybe cuddles from an adorable puppy … but fresh cake comes pretty close to the top of the list!

Well now one home baker has shared the most amazing two-ingredient apple tea cake recipe on social media and it’s gone viral.

Posting on Mums Who Book & Bake, home baker Loren has blown people away with her kitchen hack.

Using a Woolies packet butter cake mix and a tin of apple slices she has created an easy, cheap and simple recipe hack.

“I know this has been done before, but I wanted to give it a go today. Apple tea cakes!”2 ingredients, beat together with a hand mixer, split into 2x 20cm cake tins and bake at 160°C for about an hour. They’re still hot, but smell incredible!😍🍏🎂,” she posted.

Not only is the recipe oh so simple, a packet of Woolworths butter cake mix is a steal at 75 cents, the 770gm of Apple Slices Pie Fruit is just $3.50. So cheap!
