Phillip Koch

Phillip Koch is a freelance writer who has worked on Australia's most successful newspapers and magazines since starting his career on a two-person paper in the tiny NSW town of Glen Innes in 1988. The former Woman's Day Editor at large has interviewed everyone from royalty and real-life heroes to sports stars and supermodels, including the (former) Duchess of York, Russell Crowe, Nicole Kidman, Matt Damon, Britney Spears, and Paris Hilton. He took Lindy Chamberlain back to Uluru, interviewed the Bali Nine in Kerobokan Jail, and had a front row seat at Jennifer Hawkins' lavish Bali wedding. He was named Are Media's Writer of the Year in 2019. When he's not hitting the keyboard or chasing celebrity scoops, you can find him at the beach, reading thrillers, watching cop shows, or walking Bear, his beloved Kelpie-cross.
