She welcomed an adorable baby boy just last week, and now burns survivor Turia Pitt has spoken about how she’s struggling with breastfeeding.
Taking to Instagram, the inspirational Australian shared a tongue-in-cheek photo of herself in a low cut top.
Alongside the snap she wrote that there were ‘a couple of major perks to breastfeeding’.
But the new mum – whose son is called Hakavai – went on to say she had found it a struggle.
‘I actually found breastfeeding really hard at the beginning,’ Turia wrote.
‘But then I realised it was the first time I’d ever breastfed and it was Hakavai’s first time too and the first time you try anything new you’re not going to be an expert at it!
‘We’re not experts (yet) but we’re definitely getting the hang of it,’ she concluded.
A day earlier, Turia took to her social media page to show that she and fiancé Michael were getting out and about with their new son.
‘Santa came early to the Hoskin residence this year. Thanks everyone for your well wishes,’ Turia captioned a picture of the three of them.
‘Mum and baby are happy and healthy (and Michael looks like the genie from Aladdin),’ she wrote, in reference to the fact that Michael was wearing their baby boy in a bright blue sling on his stomach.
‘We are slightly sleep deprived but stoked!’ Turia admitted.
