Former Today show news presenter Sylvia Jeffreys is back on our screens!

The 33-year-old has made her debut on Nine News Watch, a newscast produced exclusively for Facebook’s Watch service.

Some viewers were quick to slam the quality of the online bulletin. 

‘Nine News Watch started late and uses dodgy iPhone footage. If you promote 8pm, start at 8pm,’ one person unkindly said on Twitter. 

Another offered some advice to the TV star: ‘You are going to have to heavily promote the direct link to the WATCH page, as it is extremely difficult to find’.

The newsreader took to her Instagram on Monday to announce details of her new online show. 

“It’s arrived! 9 News Watch launches at 8pm (eastern time) today on Facebook watch,” she told her followers. 

“It’s a daily news bulletin made for you. ‘Like’ any of our Nine News Facebook pages, including A Current Affair & the Today show, to have your say, share your stories and stay up-to-date.

Sylvia left the Today show eight months ago, when the Australian breakfast show underwent a huge staffing shakeup.

The 33-year-old was axed, along with her husband Peter Stefanovic, and her brother-in-law Karl Stefanovic, after failing ratings and personal issues – including the ‘Ubergate’ scandal – impacted the show.
