Sarah Ferguson’s days of sitting on the outskirts of the Royal Family appear to be over! The Duchess of York is rumoured to be back in the Firm following the success of her daughter Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank.

Eugenie’s recent Royal Wedding is believed to have “healed the rift” between the duchess and the most senior royals – particularly Prince Philip, her former father-in-law.

This was seemingly proved by Eugenie’s official wedding portraits, depicting the 59-year-old duchess pictured alongside the Duke of Edinburgh for the first time in 20 years.

Sarah, Duchess of York, better known as Fergie, found herself at the centre of a royal scandal when photos of her getting her toes sucked by her American lover made the national press.

Philip was said to have been so enraged, he said he could not stand to be in the same room as the duchess.

The duchess has also been slowly reemerging in the royal scene throughout the last year.

Fergie was spotted at events such as Royal Ascot, and was even permitted to attend the racing carnival in the Queen’s viewing gallery.

In fact, Fergie and ex-husband Prince Andrew have kept a notoriously close bond since their divorce.

Pictured leaving a hotel together the morning after their daughter’s royal wedding, Sarah, Duchess of York and Prince Andrew looked more than a little embarrassed to be caught on camera.

Those close to Andrew and Sarah are quick to note just how friendly and affectionate the pair appeared at Eugenie and Jack’s

Oct. 12 wedding reception, with their rekindled romance the talk of the evening.

Just days after the royal wedding, Andrew took to his official Twitter page to wish Sarah a happy 59th birthday.

“It’s no secret that Fergie and Andrew never stopped loving one another,” continues the source. “Watching their daughter walk down the aisle really cemented just how much they want to make things work between them, and how badly they want to remarry.”
