Penny McNamee’s emotional plea to fans

The Home And Away actress is behind a good cause.

Looking for the perfect excuse to don your loudest gear? Join Home and Away favourite Penny McNamee in supporting the annual Loud Shirt Day for The Shepherd Centre – Giving deaf children a voice, on Oct. 19.

Penny – who plays Dr Tori Morgan – reveals that she became an ambassador for The Shepherd Centre for a very special reason.

“My cousin Naomi was born profoundly deaf and is a graduate of The Shepherd Centre,” Penny says. “She is an inspiration to me and the reason I became involved with this wonderful charity. It’s an amazing organisation that ensures deaf children receive the best possible support and education.”

Indeed, for almost 50 years, The Shepherd Centre – a not-for-profit organisation – has assisted deaf or hearing-impaired children to develop spoken language and improve their quality of life. And, as Penny explains, we can all help.
