The British royal family’s reputation has suffered as a result of Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton’s rumoured feud.
But it’s not only the royal family members who have been affected by the rumoured fall-out – staff members from inside the palace have revealed how the feud has had a negative ripple effect.
Staff members of Kensington Palace reportedly spend hours attending to hate mail – primarily aimed at Meghan and Kate.
“The Palace has always monitored comments but it’s a hugely time-consuming thing,” a told HELLO!
“They can block certain words, but some of it is quite serious. Over the course of last year, with hundreds of thousands of comments, there were two or three that were violent threats. It follows a Kate vs. Meghan narrative and some of the worst stuff is between Kate fans and Meghan fans. Arguments about who looks more appropriate, for example.”
The 37-year-old has been the subject of multiple reports suggesting she is difficult and has been demanding towards the royal staff.
“It has put pressure on her relationship with Harry. He’s very frustrated with how little can be done,” a source told Us Weekly.
