Emily Eskell has made quite the impression as Summer Bay’s newest local. But, it’s the bubbly actresses modern love tale that was all The Morning Show’s Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies could talk about.
Speaking to the hosts this morning, Eskell revealed she felt “deeply blessed” after recently tying the knot with soulmate Joel Lumsden.
Emily and Joel met on Tinder, and Larry had lots of questions!
“We bantered for a while,” the NIDA graduate explained. “I was in a terribly low place. I had downloaded and deleted the app about 50 times.
“Joel was covered in tattoos and making a fire and those were the photos on his profile,” Emily continued.
“I was like, this guy knows that he likes. He knows that he likes. Considerable the other photos of people who just have their expensive cars and guns and tigers and things like that.”
“Tigers? I’m going to get on this,” Larry interjected.
“I met Joel on Tinder about four years ago and he’s the love of my life,” Emily revealed to New Idea earlier this month. “He’s wonderful and is so excited about me working on Home and Away – he’s such a big support.
“I’d been on so many bad dates before I met Joel, and so had he – he has some hilarious stories!” she adds with a laugh.
The beautiful ceremony, held in NSW’s Southern Highlands, was attended by several castmates including Sophie Dillman, Kestie Morassi, Jackson Heywood and Tim Franklin.
“It was beautiful. It was such an event getting it all together in between working and everything. But the time it came around, we just wanted to have fun. It ended up being a wild party.”
