James: The ham which lasts for three or four days, so it’s not just on Christmas Day that you have it – it’s the next morning with eggs, at lunch in a toasted sandwich and at night with a salad.

Best Christmas skill?

James: I’m a good cleaner-upper. That’s an important skill!

Sarah: I used to make gingerbread houses.

Favourite Christmas Carol?

Sarah: I really love Mariah Carey’s Christmas album. It reminds me of family time growing up.

James: “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” by Band Aid. It’s so good.

New Year’s resolution?

James: To follow through.

Sarah: I have a list of things I’d like to do, like picking up my Japanese again and singing more. I don’t want to be like a Nike commercial, but maybe my New Year’s resolution should be Just Do It!

What are you hoping Santa will bring this year?

James: I’d love a song from my daughter. I want her to stand and sing me a song – it’s the cutest thing in the world!
