Home And Away: Holidaying with the stars

The cast of the iconic soap share their vacay snaps.

It’s always summer in Summer Bay. And for many of the cast of Home And Away, escaping the real-life winter chills during a recent production break was very much on the agenda.

Georgie Parker (Roo) revealed on Instagram that she headed for Italy’s picture-perfect Amalfi coast, taking in the sights of ‘busy beautiful’ Positano before heading to George Clooney’s favourite hang-out – the glistening Lake Como!

Also in Europe is Sarah Roberts (Willow). The actress has been enjoying some quality family time in Ireland with her big bro. ‘Mum taught us that a day without laughter is a day wasted,’ she captioned a pic of their travels on Instagram.

Sarah is also using the time off to catch up on a good book, sharing a snap of her latest read, Bram Stoker’s Dracula. What’s more, the bubbly actress got into the Irish spirit enjoying a pint of beer and dressing up as a leprechaun during her visit.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the pond, Ada Nicodemou (Leah) has jetted off for a romantic getaway in New York City with her boyfriend, Adam Rigby. For the loved-up couple, their first stop was none other than Times Square.

‘You know you’ve arrived in NY when you’re in Times Square,’ she captioned a snap on Instagram.

Penny McNamee (Tori) ventured closer to home, spending time with family on the Gold Coast’s Mermaid Beach and Sea World. ‘Here’s a tip for free. Always take the group photo at the entrance to the theme park. Not at the end,’ she captioned, hashtagging #smilekids.

And it certainly was all smiles for the family of three, who then headed south to stunning Byron Bay. The adorable bunch spent time sightseeing local attractions, including the iconic lighthouse, where they no doubt kept an eye out for passing whales.

Celebrating his 30th birthday during the break in filming, Jackson Heywood (Brody) posted that he was in his ‘newest happy place’ – the Great Barrier Reef, where a spot of snorkelling was in order. ‘My definition of freedom,’ he captioned.
