Forget botox, the secret to reducing the appearance of wrinkles comes from within.

Kim Pearson, from London tells the Daily Mail the key to looking younger has everything to do with your diet.

She reveals the foods everyone should be eating for  their anti wrinkle benefits.

Nuts, fish and seeds

A you age your skins thins and becomes harder to keep hydrated. Adding Omega 3s to your died can combat this.

No alcohol

We hate to be the bearer of bad news but alcohol and anti-aging do not go hand in hand. Pearson says alcohol actually speeds up the aging process and causes dehydration.

Add colour to your diet

When shopping for fruits and vegatables, ensure you include all the colours of the rainbow. Brightly coloured fruit and vegetables contain phytonutrients, which protect your skin cells.

Avoid foods that cause inflammation

These foods include refined carbohydrates such as white bread and rice. But also, sugar, fried food and processed meats and alcohol.

Embrace  anti-inflamatory foods

Think wild salmon, broccoli, turmeric and ginger, these food products all claim anti-inflammatory properties.

Cut back on sugar

Sugar plays a critical part in the aging process.

MailOnline reports: ‘When we eat sugar and refined carbohydrates like white bread, noodles and pasta (which break down to simple sugars) they enter our blood stream where they can then attach to the skin’s collagen and elastin.’

Eat tomatoes

Believe it or not, the tomato is a superfood thanks to beneficial phytochemicals such as lycopene which protect against UV damage and harmful bacteria.
