Serial sex attacker Bayley, 47, who is serving at least 40 years in jail for the brutal rape and murder of Irishwoman Jill Meagher, 29, in September 2012, was involved in a fight with another killer at the maximum security Barwon Prison near Geelong, Victoria, on Friday, May 10.
The fight occurred between Bayley and convicted murderer, Steven Hunter.
Hunter, 54, is serving a life sentence without parole for the murder of law student Sarah Cafferkey, 22, who was stabbed to death and her body then dumped in a wheelie bin in 2012.
The loathed killers punched on for three minutes before the fight was stopped.
Bayley came out on top in the fight, The Herald Sun reported.
Hunter suffered head injuries and was taken to hospital before being returned to jail.
What caused the prisoners to come to blows is unknown.
The pair are separated from the rest of the prison since their safety is at risk from other inmates who are disgusted by their violent crimes against women.
Serial sex offender Bayley has raped or attempted to rape 12 women, which makes him a target in the rest of the prison.
