Jen, who played the inimitable Rachel Green on the hugely popular US show from 1994 until 2004, sat down for a chat with her real-life friend and legendary talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.

Ellen started the interview by bluntly demanding: “Number one – do a Friends reunion.”

To which the actress replied: “Uhhhhh.. Okay.”

“Why not?!” Ellen demanded.

“I know … Why not? I’ve told you – I would do it. I would do it!

“The girls would do it. And the boys would do it, I’m sure.

“Listen – anything could happen,” Jen trailed off with telling smirk.

Another tagged a friend saying: “We can only pray.”

Other followers couldn’t believe 50-year-old Jennifer’s age defying appearance, with one declaring: “Her hair is STILL everything I want in life and it’s been that way for over 20 years.”

Jen’s co-stars David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry yet to comment on the news, but Courteney Cox – who played neurotic Monica Geller on the show – posted a throwback photo of the cast late last month.

Adding fuel to the fire of reunion rumours, the Cougar Town star captioned the post: “The one where the six of us went to Vegas and no one knew we were F.R.I.E.N.D.S yet #tbt #beforeitaired #lovetheseguys.”
