A TV insider says, “She is being replaced.”

While Network Ten have said the American actress has been working hard to familiarise herself with local talent, rumours are rife that she’ll be dumped next year, as execs are said to be worried about the negative publicity she’s getting from not knowing the contestants and her backstage demands have also caused some tension.

“She was tricky with demands and had a complete lack of respect for time schedules,” says the source. Instead, a local – most likely Kate Ceberano who is The Lion is tipped to replace her.

That’s not the only scandal to come from the show either.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, not only do the celebrity participants have to keep themselves anonymous at the studio by covering their faces and bodies before arriving for filming, they aren’t allowed to tell their loved ones about their involvement either.

When the evicted singer returns to their family, they must account for their whereabouts with a contractually-obligated fib,” the SMH reported, before production exec Shaun Murphy admitted that exceptions were made, so some could “fess up to their husband or wife”. Only four network executives know their identities and the set is searched for hidden cameras.
