The Block front runners Mitch and Mark have addressed their financial woes from Monday’s explosive episode, calling the situation “gutting”.

The Bondi grandad’s found themselves in serious financial trouble last night when it was revealed Mark had vastly miscalculated all their expenses, leaving the couple anywhere from $2000 and $10,000 in the red.
Appearing on Triple M’s Moonman in the Morning, Mark and Mitch were asked to explain how they’ve potentially got themselves in $10,000 of debt.
“Boys there was drama last night. Now Mark you’re in charge of the budgets and you thought you had $16,000, and it turns out you’ve got nothing! We’re all guilty of putting our eftpos card on the machine and it declines,” the radio host began.
“Now what happened?”
“What did happen Mark?” Mitch joked.
“I think we’re re-living trauma right now” Mark nervously replied.
“We had a couple of bills that came in and we had an estimate on the price, but it came in and we were like ‘woah, that was supposed to be eight grand’ and it came in at like 15? And we were like ‘Oh my god’.”
“Does anything the building industry ever come in under budget?”, the radio host asked.
“Well no apparently not”,” Mark admitted, “Well at least not for me”.
“That was really gutting,” Mark continued.
“Because we’d been tearing along, it’s just hard to watch it. I felt really bad”
Addressing rumours they split, Mark said: “You know Mitch would have liked that because then there would have been extra jewels I would have had to give him to get back together.”
“You’d have to buy me another diamond,” Mitch quipped back.
