They’re meant to have found love on national TV, but Sophie Monk and Matthew ‘Matty J’ Johnson have sparked rumours they’ve ditched their picks for each other.
The Channel Ten stars set tongues wagging when they were snapped enjoying a cosy lunch at Bondi hot spot Icebergs Bar last week.
‘I was surprised to see them together,’ a fellow diner told New Idea. ‘The Bachelor and Bachelorette out on a date? What would the winners say?’
According to the onlooker, Matty and Sophie couldn’t hide their connection, openly flirting at their table and again while they walked back to their separate cars.
And while reports have claimed the duo are both ‘happily in love’ with their chosen partners, network executives are worried the new friendship between the TV stars may
be leading to trouble in paradise.
‘This has never been seen in the past while the shows are still airing,’ a Channel Ten insider spilled.
‘We are not saying they are an item, but they did look quite happy with each other.
‘It definitely looked like there could be a spark between them.’
