BREAKING: Wife of TV’s Tarzan found stabbed to death

The wife of Tarzan actor Ron Ely was found stabbed to death in her Los Angeles home, with reports suggesting the murder suspect has been shot dead by police.

According to News.com.au, law enforcement was called to the home after a “family disturbance” was reported. 

Valerie Lundeen – a former Miss Florida winner – was found deceased in the couple’s LA property, with police saying they were called to the scene following reports of a “family disturbance involving the couple’s son”. 

Cameron Ely, the Hollywood couple’s only son, was killed by police.

Ron and Valerie shared three children together, Kirsten, Kaitland and Cameron, and had been married for 35 years. 

TMZ obtained the first responder’s audio, which seemed to indicate an “elderly gentleman” called the police, who confirmed his son was involvement. 

There have been conflicting reports following the incident hitting the media, with some news stations stating Valerie Lundeen died of stab wounds, while other outlets suggested she was shot. 

According to News.com.au, police were called to the home at 8.15 pm following a “family disturbance”.

According to News.com.au, police officers found the suspect on the Santa Barbara property, with news crews at the scene capturing the moment shots were fired by officers from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office, which ultimately killed the suspect. 

The police involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave. 

“We don’t know exactly how many shots were fired. We did have several deputies that were involved in the shooting,” Lieutenant Erik Raney told KEYT.

“Fortunately all of our deputies are OK.”

It has not been confirmed that the elderly man who placed the 911 call and was taken to hospital, is actor Ron Ely.
