"It's brutal".

Carrie Bickmore announced in June that she was expecting her third child, but as a busy television and radio host the pregnant star has admitted the moments that “suck.”

Writing a column for Stellar, Carrie lamented that she often misses important moments in her 11-year-old son’s life because she’s too busy working.

“I don’t get to see all of Ollie’s tennis wins, or his musical performances, due to being a working mum. It’s sucked many times,” she wrote.

The Project host also shared one example that was particularly brutal.

“I recall distinctly sitting on The Project desk getting minute by minute updates of a basketball grand final a few years back where Ollie won the game for the team with a free throw in the final seconds,” she penned.

The experience was “brutal”, she writes.

“He was on such a high for days afterwards. But for me, it was brutal. I missed it,” she confessed.

Carrie is mum to Oliver, 11, and Evie, 3.

The TV host shares Evie with her partner Chris Walker, and the couple are expecting their second child together.

Oliver’s biological father is Carrie’s late husband, Greg Lange, who died from brain cancer in 2010.
