I was always a skinny kid, an even skinnier teenager! Anorexia wasn’t a word bandied about until I was around 19 when I was in a boutique chain’s change room and the lady burst in, took a look at me at said, “how long have you had anorexia for”?

I didn’t have anorexia, I was just skinny!
I was skinny right through my pregnancies with three children, until age 45 when I gave up a 32-year smoking habit and gained 10 welcome kilos. And then, bang, menopause and 10 more kilos which were not so welcome.

People definitely don’t comment on how skinny I am now!
