Miley Cyrus has gone on the defensive – hardcore.
Following news she split with Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, both camps quickly released their sides of the story into the media.
Sources from Liam’s side claimed that Miley had been unfaithful in their marriage, while those surrounding Miley – including Miley herself – both insinuated and straight-up said that Liam’s hard-partying ways were the reason their marriage didn’t work out.

Now, Miley has come out and vehemently denied she cheated on Liam since they reconciled in 2015, following their split in 2013.
In a series of tweets written late last night, and later and Instagram post, Cyrus denies cheating while also explaining that it was the simple matter of ‘growing up’ that caused her to walk away from Liam.
“I can accept that the life I’ve chosen means I must live completely open and transparent with my fans who I love, and the public, 100% of the time. What I cannot accept is being told I’m lying to cover up a crime I haven’t committed. I have nothing to hide,” the Mother’s Daughter singer wrote in her first tweet.
“It is no secret that I was into partying in my teens and early 20’s. I have not only smoked, but advocated for weed, I’ve experimented with drugs, my biggest song to date is about dancing on molly and snorting lines in the bathroom.”
“I f****d up and cheated in relationships when I was young.
“I lost a massive Walmart deal at 17 for ripping a bong.
“I got kicked off hotel Transylvania for buying Liam a penis cake for his birthday and licking it.”
Miley continued: “But the truth is, once Liam & I reconciled,I meant it, & I was committed. There are NO secrets to uncover here. I’ve learned from every experience in my life. I’m not perfect, I don’t want to be, it’s boring. I’ve grown up in front of you, but the bottom line is, I HAVE GROWN UP.
“I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating. Liam and I have been together for a decade. I’ve said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will.”
Cyrus’s lengthy rant comes just one day after Liam Hemsworth made the drastic move to file for a divorce.
According to PEOPLE magazine, the Aussie actor filed for divorce on Wednesday in Los Angeles.
Upon hearing her now ex-husband had filed for divorce, a Miley source told PEOPLE that the singer, “didn’t expect it”.
“She didn’t expect it and is a bit disappointed, but she is still doing well and has obviously moved on as well,” the source said.
“What she and Liam had for a long time was very special.”
Miley added, “There are really so many things that she loves about him.”
Miley, 26, and Liam, 29, met on the set of The Last Song when both were still teenagers, and had an on-again-off-again romance for ten years before getting married in a private ceremony on December 23, last year at the family home in Tennesse.
Miley has since been linked to Brody Jenner’s ex-wife, Kaitlynn Carter.
