Equipped with a blue umbrella to protect him from the heavy rain, Michael looked dapper in a black suit, with a white shirt and dark tie.

Despite the soggy weather, Michael performed in front of fans in Martin Place. “What a beautiful day for a concert,” he joked of the weather on Sunrise.

This is Michaels first visit to Australia in four years, after taking a break from music when his son Noah, four, was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2016.

Michael revealed that his Noah, who is now in remission, is doing great, but he admits that the experience changed the way he looks at life.

“We’ve gone through difficult things and those experiences they change your life,’ he said on Sunrise of their battle. “At the end of the day what I realised from this [my family] are the only things that really matter.”
