New parents Laura Byrne and Matty J Johnson have been slammed on social media after posting a photo with their newborn baby.
Laura took to Instagram to share a photo of herself, Matty, and their one-week-old daughter Marlie-Mae Rose at Bondi Icebergs in Sydney.
‘I don’t know what ya’ll are yabbering on about. Tired is the look we were going for,’ she captioned the snap.
Some of her followers were quick to point out the ‘SMOKING AREA’ sign right behind the new family.
‘I hope no one was smoking while you had your baby out there… cute photo,’ quipped one follower.
Another wrote: ‘I love how you’re standing in the smoking area. Gorgeous lil fam.’

Laura was quick to clarify that they didn’t see the sign.
‘Everyone in front of us were dining. I didn’t even realise that behind us was the smoking area. Looks like just the one guy, we good,’ she added.
Laura then said she was being attacked by the ‘mummy mafia’.
‘Ahhhh s***, I didn’t even notice. We just went onto the balcony for a photo… Cue the mummy mafia!!!’ she responded.
The pair announced the arrival of their bundle of joy on June 20.
“Welcome to the world you divine little slice of human pudding” she wrote next to a series of photos, “Marlie-Mae Rose Johnson (named after our Nana’s) you’re more than we could have ever hoped for.”
Matty J also took to his Instagram page to discuss his disbelief at becoming a first time dad.
“Still letting the last 24hrs sink in.. they’ve been the most rewarding, loving and emotional I’ve ever experienced. @ladyandacaty you did the most incredible job bringing our little girl Marlie-Mae Rose Johnson into the world. Becoming a Dad was better than I ever could have imagined.
