Karl Stefanovic has taken a swipe at Kyle Sandilands after he signed a lucrative extension with KIIS FM.
Sandilands and his on air partner in crime Jackie ‘O’ Henderson signed an extension with the network until 2024 that could see them bag a cool $50 million each.

The 48-year-old also revealed that he does little to no prep before each show.
“If you’ve ever worked with me you’ll know I do very little to zero preparation,” Kyle said on stage. “There’s a method to that, it’s not just laziness.
“I like to hear things as a listener. Everyone else is very well prepared … I like to go in with virgin ears and hear everything for the first time. So if I don’t understand what’s going on … then the odds are the listener is not going to understand either.”
The Kyle and Jackie O Show is currently the number one breakfast show in Sydney.
“There is no secret to the show’s success,” Kyle told News.com.au.
“Ultimately it’s genuine chemistry. I love working with Jackie and that simply can’t be created; it’s either there or it’s not.
“A lot of other stations throw strangers together and scratch their heads when it fails miserably. Radio’s actually really easy, it’s just bad programmers that make it unnecessarily difficult.”
Last month Kyle Sandilands was forced to apologise to his religious viewers over an unsavoury joke about the Virgin Mary, which left many former fans calling for the veteran presenter’s resignation.
“Am I going to quit? No. Am I going to get fired? No. Am I sorry? Absolutely I am sorry,” Kyle’s grovelling apology began on September 30.
“I never intended to purposely upset anyone. Obviously, I have upset people and I am sorry for it. There’s nothing else I can do but to say, hey, I am sorry for that.”
Kyle went on to claim that someone published his mobile phone number online after his Virgin Mary comments and he received hundreds of angry calls.
“Some were very, very aggressive, a lot of people hung up … there were threats,” he said.
“But the main thing I took out of it was, you know me, I believe everyone has the right to their own opinion and their own religious beliefs and no one has the right to take that away from them. But what I didn’t realise until I started taking these calls was that I’d stepped on the belief of other people and that’s what I’d done wrong,” he told listeners.
“It was a joke and it was a hugely bad decision, poor taste. I didn’t plan that joke … I was just spit-balling live here. I didn’t realise the gravity of it and it really upset a lot of people. Even friends of mine were like, ‘Bro, how could you say something so dumb like that?’”
“I get upset at the fact that I’ve caused a lot of grief to a lot of people,” Kyle continued.
“That’s never what I meant to do. I was just trying to make people have a laugh and I didn’t realise I was trodding [sic] quite heavily on very gentle territory for a lot of people.”
