Matt Damon’s father has passed away after a long battle with cancer, the actor’s rep confirms.
According to The Boston Globe, Kent Damon, 74, died of multiple myeloma, a rare blood disease.
His condition had worsened over the past few months.
Since news of his father’s diagnosis, Damon has helped raise awareness and funds for cancer research and treatment.
